HOW TO FULLY EDIT THE TITLE SCREEN? *RMXP*

After returning to RPG Maker XP, I've decided to embark on a super secret project. The cumbersome title screen window has been restricting, to say the least.

First of all, I want the windowskin to be invisible, as in no windowskin background (taken care of with opacity)but the frame still hangs there.

Also, how can I remove the annoying highlight selection? I'd rather use something else. Take the Final Fantasy series for example, they use the ever so popular hand icon instead of highlighting.

Lastly, how can I change the font color? The background is white so you can't really see the font.

Thanks for putting up with my noobishness!
Easy answer: Change your window.

In the window skin, you have categories that determine what goes where. For example:
The box on the left is for the window's inside, the top-right box is for the frame, and the section circled below is for the cursor/highlight.

I made one for you quickly:

It'll basically yield the same result as in the example above. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the help! It works pretty good now, but do you know how I could change the font color? The background is white but I want a black font color.

As one newb scripter to another, you should figure out some tricks to find what you're looking for in existing script. Here are two for you: Always try to think of something that already exists that does what you want, or is at least close! Message windows with font colors are everywhere.

The other thing is that Ctrl+SHIFT+F lets you search ALL scripts. You should CTRL+SHIFT+F "self.font" I believe - that should give you several examples of the script that is used to change font color in various windows.

edit: disclaimer - I have never used XP but that ctrl+shift+f works in VX. so I am sorry if it turns out that I have given you useless advice. :B
Thanks Versalia! I was getting frustrated not being able to search through all the scripts. I should have known "Ctrl+SHIFT+F"!
