INTRODUCING A PROJECT

I've been an amateur game designer for over a year, but still don't have anything to show for it other than a few small incomplete projects. I've been working on my primary game for a few months, but it's still a ways away from being ready for release as a demo. As someone new to this community site, how do you recommend I begin to share or preview some of my game to begin developing interest? I understand I can't have a blog to post updates until I submit the game demo, but would still like some feedback/criticisms prior to that release. How do you recommend I go about introducing my game and posting updates on the progress for the community?

You don't need to have a demo or download to make a game profile page. As long as you have a few screenshots, you should have no problem getting a page through, and from there, you can use the blog and other pages to get feedback.
You could always tease us with some screenies & gameplay movies on the 'Screenshot Topic,' for now. But yeah, as long as you have around 3+ screenshots and some general info, your good to go! You can always add more details as your game gets closer to completion!
Welcome to RMN, and I can't wait to see this 'mystery' game you have. ;)

Yep, gameprofiles are the way to go (in fact, posting "game advertisement" threads is forbidden here). Gameprofiles are pretty damn slick (thanks WIP!) and they allow you to post blogs, make custom pages, apply custom CSS, and host downloads.
