RM2K3 EVENT HELP

I'm making an event in my game where the main character is talking to a king and queen in a room full of guards. I need all of those guards to walk towards the exit of the room, and then disappear. The problem is, the event that causes this is autostart, so I'm not quite sure how I can go about doing this. Any help?

at the end of your autostart event, last entry could be "Turn on switch 0001" then make a second page on the event (that does nothing) but make the second page conditions that If "switch 0001" is on, page two will run and do nothing.

I don't understand how this is a vague questions as to me he is asking how to make the guard sprites to disappear after going through the door.

@Paxni; This is simple. You can do this by using the move event inside the auto start event your using for the cut scene or whatever. Just make a move event for each guard and have them move when you desire through the door.

Using the switch: for each guard make new page inside the event and set in the preconditions the switch you are using for that event. Then set the character sprite to a blank tile in the chip set(usually the upper-left one is the blank one)

You can use this method the same way to stop the auto-start event also. just leave the new page blank and set the trigger to press key and event below hero (if it is on the map same level as the hero ,it can block the heroes path possibly so set it above or below)

Now I am saying this assuming you know your way around rm2k3 enough to know what I am talking about. If not, I recommend looking at some tutorials on switches here at the very least. If ya need help feel free to pm me.

I think demicrusaius got it right, Paxni's problem was how to stop the autostart event in order to make the guards exit. Now he has full explanations for both!
