VX MAP LIMIT?

Not that I am that far yet, but the map limit in VX is like 999 maps. Well, I am at 85, and I only have 2 out of 25 parts! 32 of them are consumed with the 2 parts done so far, and all of the rest are extra features/sidequests. I am worried about the sidequests more than anything, because they take large amounts of maps to do.
QUESTION
Is there a way 'around' this? Can I have more without having to make to different parts with all of the graphics therefore making it ridiculously large?

First off, your quote is screwed up. And second off, you can't create a 25 part game with 5 maps, nor do I want to. Where in there did I say 5?

Alright, I am going to tell you the answer, but I doubt you are going to like it. In the standard, legal standard mind you, version of RMVX, the maximum limit is 999 and if you dislike it you have two options to look at:

1. Break your game into parts, like many creators has done before, or simply use the same maps and map different sections to fit your uses, like all indoor maps for npcs on one large map to save other maps for other things.

2. Illegally hack RMVX to change the HARD-CODED map limit and hope you don't break something on the way.

Those are your options, and in reality, I can not think of a single reason you would need more then 999 maps, unless you are making an epic of unseen proportions or... Are Extremely Inefficient (AEI).

It is probably just me worrying, but I will repost if this is a problem.
I am not a hacker, and breaking into parts would take to much space.
And why does everyone deny Stonesearch of it's epicness? :)

Rpgmakers limits seems so arbitrary it's ridiculous.

If you have many small maps (like one room) you can probably put them on one large map. Just make sure that they are far enough apart that they won't show up when they shouldn't.

Calm down. VX is limited to five Chipsets with which you can make 999 maps.

I don't think you will need that many, but you can always condense "inner" maps onto one large map.

Nice Idea! A village alone with all of it's small tiny inside huts are like 8 maps itself.
Combining them = 1! Thanks!
I said the same thing... Oh, GAH! I realize I left out the word "houses" now. Oh well, that is your best option anyways.

I've yet to see an RPG Maker game utilize 999 maps, let alone more than 999 maps.
