HOW DO I STOP PEOPLE EDITING MY GAME MAP?

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Molebox is a program that can be used to encrypt legitimate programs, but is mostly used to disguise viruses and give them to people. As a result most virus protection software will not allow it to run, and most sensible people will not open a program made in it.
The real answer is that you don't. I can't really imagine why you'd want to. If your game sucks, people can fix the problems with it as they play. If your game is good, people can see how you did it and learn from you, and the community gets more good games in the future.

You can use a program called "MoleBox" which encrypts everything into the .exe file.
Yeah if you do this I will certainly not be playing your game.

author=LockeZOn other hand, if for example, I made a CBS which makes the community go OMG then I'd rather molebox the entire project so stupid people won't steal my code. As for bugs, that's why there are beta testers.

Beta testers. Do you understand that term motherfuckers?

Man if someone stole my code I would be super happy. Then there would be even more good games around here, and I would be partly responsible for it.

Fine, maybe there's a chance I will not encrypt my project. Weird how RMXP community is okay with project encrypting.
Anyhoo, I'll still attempt to write awkwardly messy and stupid code so nobody wants to haxor anything.

Oh and swords are overrated and stupid kthxbai.

I'm OK with RMXP's built-in encrypter only because you can find an RMXP decrypter by spending 45 seconds on google.

Keep in mind that if the person is stupid, (s)he is not that likely to be able to make use of the CBS anyway. If that person is able to, then the CBS probably wasn't so OMG anyway.
People who could read the CBS code and make use of it are most likely the kind that could build CBS's on their own, or ones who just wants to learn how to do it.

Oh, and speaking of Decryptors, then just go find that Cherry's tutorial for decrypting Moleboxed projects.

Too bad any decent CBS is so complicated as to be completely opaque anyway...
There's really no good reason to encrypt a project. If someone's so frustrated with your crappy game that they decide they need to cheat, but they then discover you've encrypted the project, they'll just stop playing it.
In that case I'll either code the game to be moar balanced or then I will disregard "the Customer is always right" bullshit and troll the ragequitter.

The problem with this attitude is that you become known as someone who does so. I don't know about everyone else (actually, I know what quite a few people will do) but I've avoided games that I know to be made by certain people because they encrypted their projects.
I'm not the type to steal code or graphics (music and sounds, unless stated as specifically made for that project, will be considered ^.^) but I like to open the game in the editor and play via test play so that I know if I get stuck I can just CTRL or F9 my way out of it. Or be able to fix it myself. Sure, it breaks the illusion that playing a game gives you, but it'd be worse if I had to go searching down the creator and wait on a fix that I could do myself in a few moments.
And believe me, no matter how balanced or awesome you think your game is, there's always that one bug that will piss me off. Even Hero's Realm - one of the best games I've played - had a few bugs that I tried to fix. And HR is a pretty damn-well balanced game.
I will be honest, Moleboxed projects do not run as well on newer pcs, as my experience has proven, and I justly will be among those whom refuse to play your project in that case. There are two answers to this:
1. Get Over it.
2. Design it better!
That is all.

My script is #1 on Google for "unpack molebox", "molebox unpacker", etc. - So it's really easy to find it.
Any encryption is just "homeopathic", I believe.
