ANY REASONS MY NPCS CAN WALK OVER A TREE?

So I've been reworking a cutscene (based on you lovely suggestions) and I've run into a minor issue. I was decided to modify a tilest to include a better looking bridge. Everything else in the tileset remained the same; it's the plain ol' vanilla Mountain set from XP.
The problem I'm having is that when using the new tilset my NPCs can walk over trees as if they're a part of the ground. Is there a common reason for why might be happening? I could reposition the tree so that it's peak is out of their walking path, but I'd rather just get this working the way it is.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

In the database, go to the tileset page, and edit this tileset. Find the parts of the tree that should be above the hero, and make their priority be 2 or higher. You can see that priority goes from 0 to 5, with 0 being underfoot, 1 being the same height as the hero, 2 being above the hero's head, and 3/4/5 being even higher (they are rarely used, and in almost all cases you can just set everything above the hero to priority 2).
When playing the game, tiles of higher priority will appear above tiles of lower priority. So if you put ground on layer 1, a table on layer 2, and a candle on layer 3, make sure the candle is equal or higher priority to the table so that it will appear on top of the table instead of the table covering it up.
