Hey everyone.
I'm looking for tilesets to use in rpgmaker XP. I Need tilesets based off of nintendo games such as Zelda, Mario , and Metroid. Or just NES and SNES games in general.
I would really appreciate your help as I really have no idea where to find tile sets that are already compatible with XP/VX. So I don't have to muck about in Pait for 9000 or more hours as they say.
I really do appreciate the help. As nintendo games are quite popular I'm sure many other users would want some of these. I would look for them myself if I knew. Yet you guys are the gurus here. Thank you so much.

I saw a link recently for a resource converter. I guess it takes 2k3 chipsets and converts them into VXP chipsets. That's your best bet. I think it was simply called 'VX resource converter'.
Or you know... You could do it by hand, copy and paste. It is not that hard. Go to places like this : http://www.spriters-resource.com/
and export the default rtp tileset and just copy and paste for a while in a paint program (I advise paint.net). It is that simple.

Yeah I'll look for links converter. Also I'll retry spriters resource but last time I visited the site it took ages to load a page which was weird. I recently found some tilesets for other things Like my ninja turtles are and possible a small graveyard castlevania area.
And a ton of Futuristic tiles for the metroid themed area. Though I'd still like to find classic nes and snes tilesets or things like that to use.
How exactly do I find/ get the rtp tileset thing. I've never done this before so I apologize nor my nooby words of noobdom.

Alright, go to rmxp and open it. Look for the materials button, right next to the database. Go to a simple tileset, and export it. I am not sure of the specs of rmxp, but I think each tile is either 16x16 like rm2k/3 or 32x32... Well, just open it up in paint and make sure your rips fit the tile size and it should work.
