CloseHi! I`m kinda new here, but I`ve actually already made a game and just realized that you had to have an account on this site. I`m trying to post it up but, when you go to downloads and submit download and it asks you to `choose file` which file am I supposed to choose when I`m trying to post a rpgmaker 2003 game?

You have to put the game folder in a zip or rar file, making it one entire file. There's also an installer but most people prefer extractable archives where everything is in one place.
Just rightclick->file->new->zip archive or whatever and drag your entire game folder into that.

I thought this username seemed familiar. yeah, just zip up your entire game folder and choose that zip file to upload to RMN.

Thanks for the help! And also, I think my game Isn`t really all that good, it`s just my first time making a game using rpgmaker2003 even though the game is cancelled because the game will most likely NOT work all the way. I now have a bit of experience at using switches and variables and so on to continue and create events, I often lost count of which switches are which! So, yeah the game is pretty shabby but I`ll appreciate it if you play it and give me your opinions and what I can improve on. And this game is just a me testing the program ad making a game so I`m starting on a 2nd game that is not a continued version of the First game. I know I need to try to add some pictures, improve on the storyline and backstories, so I`m editing animations for characters and making the storyline. I think I`ll still need some help you guys, Thanks alot!

I`m having some ideas and I`ll like to hear which one is better:
1. A new video game seems to have been released and is already popular all over your town. You aren`t really a gamer but this game seems to be held in virtual reality! With wide levels and multiple enemies and make friends over the net. You ending up buying the game for the computor and comes with a headset, apparently it paralyzes you so you won`t move in the real world while the headset sends your barin signals and transfers most of your senses into the game. So you can fight monsters in the game without having to worry about your body in the real world. Of course there are some events that make the `game` more than real, as in, real deaths in-game, any more and it`ll be spoilers, so thats a summary of the 1st idea,(inspired by .hack)

Oh yeah, do I have to use a compressed zip file and put the game file in? because I messed the zip file program up. so any other ideas?

the 2nd game is not really online by the way, the game in the story acts like a online game but it`s not actually a online game
