Dragon's Crown tells the story of an unlikely hero trying to save his hometown. Throughout his journey, he'll encounter those who're willing to aid him on his quest. But they will bring with them their own motivations, reasons, and troubles. To survive, to defy all odds, they'll need to work together to slay the ferocious beast awaiting them atop Mount Afagard.

With Dragon's Crown, my first real project that I've put a lot of work and heart into, you play as Harold (you can change the protagonist's name), a young and unlikely hero who's trying to slay a dragon. This story's an introduction into a much broader world, where everyday heroes aren't common and the world's entering a new age of evolution and technological innovation. The citizens of Lagia spend their entire lives trying to live up to the standards of the Heroes of Old; throughout the Kingdom, whole academies are dedicated to the teachings of the Old Ways. Exploring Lagia, you find that the world isn't everything you thought it was. Here, heroes aren't made. They're born. And it takes an exception individual to rise above the status quo, overcome all odds, and emerge victorious.

Dragon's Crown isn't meant to be easy. Enemies are tough and unforgiving. King Velen of Lagia's wars have resulted in an inflated economy. Items aren't cheap, and gold's becoming more and more scarce. To survive, you'll need to spend wisely, plan tactically, and pray to the Old Gods that Father Luck comes your way.

Features:
  • Tough, unforgiving combat.Enemies are challenging straight from the start. If you find some areas of the game too difficult, there's a Difficulty setting found under Options.

  • Multiple dialogue paths help flesh out the story.Similar to the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, you can engage in multiple dialogue paths. Ask questions, inquire about the world around you, and explore every interaction available to you to get the most out of the story.

  • Dynamic economy based on your decisions.Gold's becoming more and more scarce around Lagia, and it'll either get better or worse by your hand. Spend it wisely.

  • Quest Boards offer unique, one-of-a-kind rewards for completing quests. You won't find these rewards anywhere else in the game.

  • A simple fishing, gathering, and cooking system where you can catch fish and gather materials. Then, you can cook your fish over an open fire or trade your rare materials to a craftsman who'll in turn create for you a weapon or set of armor.

  • Ascend through the ranks of the Hunting Lodge by testing your mettle against previously encountered enemies.Additionally, earning the rank of Grand Champion (by acquiring enough badges from successful trials) of the Hunting Lodge will grant you unique bonuses when interacting with other Hunting Lodge members.

Characters:
Note: All characters can be renamed.

Harold - A young and brave boy from Lagia. He's spent the past 6 years at the Alaundefineddell Academy in Nora Ora, Kelheim. Upon his return, he finds his hometown quite strange. Something unusual's happening and he's determined to find out why.

Therese - A strong, disciplined member of the Guild, an organization dedicated to protecting the commonfolk of Lagia. Lately, with the events of Ashos, the Guild's reputation has suffered among peasants and lords alike. But Therese is determined to change public opinion, starting by investigating the strangeness in Lagia.

Marsha - Born in Milland, Marsha was fostered by the village's Mayor, Elderron, when her parents were tragically killed. She's been Elderron's apprentice since she was 6 years old, growing up studious and introverted. She's lived a sheltered life, and there are those who believe she's being held a captive by Elderron.

Lucius - A disciple of Haenera, the Lady of Dragons, Lucius has spent the majority of his life either training at a temple in Kelheim or wandering the continent of Ensa. He's an outgoing and blunt individual who, perhaps surprisingly, swears profusely.

??? - One night, in a dream, a mysterious traveler arrives and speaks of an ancient doom that wiped out an entire civilization over three thousand years ago.

Torin - A legendary hero, Torin's one of the few dragonknights left in the world today. He lives a quiet, solitary life in Milland, well away from the hustle and bustle of Jada, Lagia's capitol. And it's a good thing, too, given that the Order turned on mankind two decades ago.
