It's good, still I am not sure if You will Love This Computer Game!

Hello, players and readers!
And welcome here for another review. AestheticGamer is the author of this game and many others, some that I already reviewed are Take the Dream IX, Blank Slate and Close your Eyes: Redux. Three totally different and unrelated games, like unrelated and totally different is this game, oddly titled "Please Love My Computer Game".

This is a pretty unique game, rest assured that you surely never played a game like this one. This is a psychological horror and puzzle game that tells the story behind Blue Guy and Green Gal. The game is all set inside a dark and decrepit house where we will have to solve various puzzles and riddles, investigate and explore... even beyond the game itself!

Hey, hey what's going on here?

Did I really wrote "beyond the game itself"? Yes, and if you were not familiar, like me, with the ARG concept, let me explain you: an alternate reality game (ARG) is a game that uses the real world as a platform and employs transmedia storytelling, and this means that to solve some ridiculously obscure puzzles you will have to check the files on your computer and play some hidden minigames (some are good, some not so much, we've a maze, a sort of walking simulator, etc.). Oh yeah there are some hints of course but nothing is really explicit, but the fun of the game is clearly finding the solutions to the enigmas, and some ideas are really cool, like for example managing brightness/contrast to estrapolate a code from a picture.
What's more important is that this game as more than one ending so this is not a totally linear experience.

Concerning the aestetics, the main game seems to use custom made graphics and original music, the setting is creepy and dark (maybe even too dark!), it's actually a very scary setting. The minigame instead uses different resources from RTPs to ripped sprite, CG art and graphics, and so on. Mapping also may vary, like the enjoyiment of the various activities.

What's bad about this game? Well probably its slow pace and frustrating gameplay that I am pretty sure will appeal only those who like challenging puzzles. There are no battles, no action, not even a story in the classical sense, in any case it's a pretty solid game and a really unique kind of puzzle-horror adventure.

What will be your answer? Make your choice!

Final Verdict
What alese can I say? I am not sure that you will Love This Computer Game since it's a really particular game, surely original and well done, and I cannot rate this less than Good (4/5) because of its nice graphics and unique gameplay, on the other hand I am pretty sure that only a restricted number of players will find enjoyment with this kind of particular gameplay. Surely this is a really peculiar game for few peculiar players!
