Eastern Region
1. Odin del Rey
Ruling House: De'Nere
Description: Maderaan's capital, and its largest city. Almost a half a million people inhabit the capital, which is split into a number of different districts and neighborhoods. The liveliest area is the largest business and shopping district known as the Commons. The capital is home to the Royal Palace as well as a Circle Enclave.
2. Dyer
Ruling House: Ashford
Description: Dyer is less of a town and more of an unorganized, semi-urban sprawl throughout the wooded areas south of the Ametrys River Delta. The area is not densely populated but is home to the summer homes of many of the capital's rich and powerful. The town is renowned for its open marketplace, where merchants from all over Maderaan flock in the summer.
3. Damcya Estate/Abernath Manorlands
Ruling House: Damcya
Description: The Abernath Plains are highly fertile and home to a number of farms. The great majority of these farms are loosely organized into the Abernath Manorlands, a conglomeration of farmers under the banner of the House of Damcya, rulers of the Abernath. The Damcya estate includes a large orchard and sits on a small hill top. In its glory days, it was home to a large harvest festival every fall.
4. Port Calumet
Ruling House: Orwell
Description: One of the major trade centers in the Eastern region. Port Calumet has much larger harbour than Odin del Rey and thus serves as the primary destination for Maderaan-bound trade ships. From Port Calumet, smaller, local ships travel to Caldebran and Doldonna to deliver gounds throughout the Maderaani sea.
5. Castafiore Citadel
Ruling House: Solafeyn
Description: The Castafiore Citadel lies on small island in the Maderaani Sea. It serves as a naval fortress and is the primary naval center for Maderaan. A small plain on the island serves as an army training ground. The small castle-town at the foot of the Citadel offers some distractions for the soldiers stationed on the island.
Central Region
6. Char Valley
Ruling House: Pryce
Description: Char used to be a mid-sized town until it was destroyed in the Pryce rebellion. Few if any still live in the area, which is now permanently blanketed in a thick, dense fog.
7. Roundtop
Ruling House: Pakevina
Description: Roundtop is a walled city sitting on a hill at the northern end of the Bajern Wilds. While the city is not very large, it serves as a trade center for the number of small villages scattered throughout the Bajern.
8. Caldebran
Ruling House: Medellin
Description: Maderaan's third-largest city, which sits in an inlet to the Maderaani sea. The mild temperature and warm water make the city an attractive beach destination in the summer. The city's sizeable harbor and reputation for blacksmith and weapon production make it a significant player in
9. Modestan
Ruling House: Crimgeour
Description: The small village of Modestan is the only settlement on the Ranuhr Peninsula. The peninsula consits largely of undevelloped forest areas and the village subsists primarily on hunting and tourism. The village sits on the water below an old, out-of-use dam.
Western Region
10. Rhen-on-Lasser
Ruling House: Roue
Description: A small village that sits on Mt. Rhen in the Veil Mountains. The town is small and serves primarily as a refueling point for airships headed to the Imperium. The constant influx of foreign airships means that the town's market sells all sorts of foreign products.
11. Tul Halidon
Ruling House: Galia
Description: A small city that sits in the snow-covered plains that form the border between Maderaan and the Imperium. The city primarily serves a military fortress, but a trade is flourishing due to the access to Imperial goods.
12. Doldonna
Ruling House: Valentia
Description: The Golden City of Maderaan lies on a small, land-connected island in the West. Doldonna's economy is founded on local mining of precious mineral and the city has recently become very wealthy as a result. Doldonna is therefore the artistic and cultural center of Maderaan and is a new power center for the small nation.
