"Hey, have you heard about it?"

"About the Attic?"

"They say if you go up the Stairs, there is a way to reach Paradise - a place where all your wishes can come true."

Little Maddie Dear is a maze-runner game about the journey of little Madison, who wishes to find Paradise at the top of the stairs. The game is set into five main stages each with different themes, an increasing variety of enemy types, and new obstacles, making every stage harder to complete. Players are assisted with up to three different helpful skills unlocked at each stage. Use food items to increase your chances of survival. Monsters lurk at every corner and nothing is as it seems. Can you uncover the dark truth or will this end in fantasy?

This game is made for the Kill the Cutie event.

Surprise Sequel Announcement! (April Fools)

We've been secretly working on the backburner since the very start for a sequel to LMD and now we're finally releasing the first version! We thought to upload it here on this page first because making the game page would be too long and we wanted to test the game first. It's a masterpiece - that's all I can say.

Here it is, Little Maddie Dear 2, released today!

Hope you enjoy it!

Played it and it was fun! I wish there would've been a more developed plot, but it works fine the way it is. On a different point, I really liked the atmosphere, the music used was quite proper, although I feel like you could've used more ominous sound effects here and there, I feel like there's too few eerie sound effects overall.

Feedback: (Spoilers ahead)

I don't quite know what the point was of being able to turn off the lamp, did it have any effect at all on enemies when you have it off? If there was a point to it, it's never properly explained or implied imo.

I feel like the flesh monsters have a way too far detection range.

Thanks for the feedback, Ozzie!

I agree that the game's (probably nonexistent) plot is a little vague. I think it might be a good idea to improve that, add some things to make it more digestible. The main problem with event games is that short time frame, so for me at least I'm prone to changing things every so often and making the end result nonsensical. Music/sound-wise, we tried tiptoeing that fine line of "creepy cute" so I guess we avoided making things too ominous.

We're probably going to work on an update soon-ish, so fixes will be made!
Is there a possibility of you releasing a Mac version? I can beta test if need be.

We don't use Mac so we're not very familiar with the requirements for a version built for it. Sorry!
Hey, I was trying to get the third alternate ending, but I think something went wrong. I got the code and went out through the closet, avoiding talking to the bear that gives you the lantern. I made it to the top floor and got to the window, but there wasn't a new ending. My guess was I needed to somehow avoid talking to the teddy bear guarding it, but I don't know how I'd do that.

(I sent this message on Newgrounds too, but I wasn't sure how often you visit Newgrounds).

Yep, you need to avoid talking to all the teddies.

There is an item in the previous map which can help you skip the last teddy.
The item is only obtainable if you never talk to any of the teddies.
