Tips for Playthrough and Soon to be Released Bug Fixes

Hi! Marmalade here.

Thank you for everyone who has played the game! We realized that we might have made the difficulty a little too much. So here are a bunch of useful tips! I'll also include the maps of all levels at the bottom. (It does not include the specific location of interactable objects like chests, drawings/scribbles, NPCs, etc.)

There are also a few of fixes we would need to implement to the game. We'll update the fixed version soon!

Stage 1:

- Try to collect all candies here as this level is the easiest and items are increasingly rare later on. All chests here contain candies.

- The sleepy bunnies are not affected by light. You can keep the light on to avoid them!

Stage 2:

- Similarly, this map is rather easy. Try to open all chests as they all contain useful candies!

- The Torn Teddies are not faster than you. Don't panic when you see them! You can easily outrun them by walking.

- There is one meal that heals fully in the center of the map. Make the best use of this before going up to the next level!

- Some objects are interactable even if they don't sparkle. Try pressing the Space button every once in a while!

Stage 3:

- The Thing is dangerous. Never try to eat it!

- There is a save room in the top left corner of the map and a free meal if you need it.

- Beware the Phantom! Use the scream ability to best avoid them, though you can attempt outrunning them with the run ability if you are near a table to jump over.

- The Phantom deals massive damage on contact. If you have trouble avoiding them, always make sure your health is full before continuing!

Stage 4:

- It is extremely crucial to read the drawing in this map. It will tell you that you must hide from the Stalking Flesh in the dark! Otherwise, they are almost impossible to outrun.

- The bloody floors will damage you, but enemies cannot pass through. Use these as emergency escape routes!

- Try to avoid using blocks to hide from enemies. Pushing a block will stun-lock you in place!

- There is a save room in the bottom left corner of the map, with a free meal as usual.

- Though it might be dangerous, try to keep the light on to avoid running into Sleepy Bunnies. These blind and deaf plushies WILL snuggle you to death.

- Keep your ears open from here on out. New enemies will have different sound clues.

Stage 5 (Final):

- This map is massive and filled with Sleepy Bunnies. Turning your Lantern on and off rapidly is crucial.

- The Flesh and the Flowerman will resume chasing you if you switch your Lantern too closely. Like all enemies, they never wander too far and will remain close to where you last see them!

- There is one mirror right next to the entrance. Make sure to save here, otherwise progress will be difficult!

- You will not need the candies for the final stretch of the level. Always use your candies when your health is low!

Hope this helps! There are five NPCs in total and talking to them is the only requirement to get the alternate ending. Each of them requires a bit of searching around (and one or two little puzzles to solve) before you can reach them. Can you find them all?
