Summary

One of U is a survival horror rpg developed by ZeroDigitZ. It is the reboot of the 2017 version "One Of You." The reboot was officially announced on May 5, 2023. Various improvements such as new graphics, redesigned locations, modified gameplay and sound are some of the upgrades included in this reboot. Some aspects from the previous version were included as a memento to the previous game.

Gameplay

The plot was given a massive overhaul when compared to its predecessor. The story line has been significantly changed with the addition of several new characters and new locations to explore.

Scenarios have been tweaked slightly. You still have two scenarios to play from, but this time the scenarios will include an ensemble cast. Players will play as multiple characters in both scenarios.

Characters from the previous game have been redesigned and given more screentime. The previous game only allowed for three playable characters. You will get the chance to play as eight different characters in One Of U. Some characters who were only NPC's in the "2017 Version" are now controllable. New characters have also been added making the game roster very robust.

Puzzles were infrequent in the last game and now have become more prevalent in this version. In typical horror fashion, these puzzles are scattered across the cabin as a blockade to prevent the main character from revealing the truth and finding a means to escape.

The clue system from the old game has been removed in this version and has been replaced with detailed notes and documents throughout the cabin to help the player navigate through any difficult situations.

Game mechanics have pretty much stayed the same. The characters can be controlled via mouse or use the directional arrows. Interaction and cancel buttons have the same configuration as well.

A movie mode has been added which is a prequel to the game. This prequel allows players to watch the events that take place before One of U.

The reboot differs from the original by 80-85%.
