God of Overlays

Have you ever considered the many challenging tasks every game has to do? Such as ensuring all the values shown on screen are displayed correctly?

Watch a fierce battle unfold under your eyes, and change the value of the HP and MP bars on the go! The game needs to have all correct values!

God of Overlays is a short puzzle-ish game made in 48 hours for the GMTK Jam 2023, placing 22th spot for the "Creativity" criteria among 8000 other games, and one of the few RPG Maker games that participated.

Gameplay:

The enemy dealt 4 damage? You'd better reduce the hero's HP bar value!
In this game, you observe heroes and enemy moves, to then adjust the values of the health bars to display the correct number before proceeding to the new turn!

Help the god of Overlays assist the heroes who fights against the darkness!

Controls:

Use the mouse to change the bar length, either by dragging them or pressing the + and - buttons near the numbers.
