Progress Report

I will finish it! I don't care how long it takes!

I have been working on this for years. A lot has happened. I just finished a Bachelers in video production, and I am now in a master's program in a Digital Art program. School takes a lot of my time, and I have several other game projects I have gotten involved in.

This project, however, never goes away. It's been a while sense I have picked it up, but I am going to start on it again. Whoever out there that may be interested in this project. Thank you for your support, and I hope you stick around.

Just know, that I am absolutely determined to finish it. I've poured so much of my heart and soul into this creation. I forget sometimes just how much I've done.

It's an amazing feeling, however to be reminded.... I hope you guys do enjoy this as much as I have enjoyed making it. The production of this game has brought me so much joy.

I hope the same for you.

The Epic never ending journey of development continues

Hey everyone,

Seems like I only drop in once a blue moon to update, but the project is still alive and well. I can honestly say I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Wow, what a long road it has been.

Once it is release, anyone who plays this beast of a game, I hope enjoys it as much as I have enjoyed making it. I hope that you will be surprised by it's many plot twists. Delighted by it's sense of humor, challenged by it's many brain bending puzzles, and I hope that it's story will keep you engaged and interested til the end.

This has been a long road, and I can see this game taking 15 - 20 hours to complete at least. It's full of hidden caves, and secrets. Tons of mini games, and I have pulled almost every crazy trick you can imagine in the RPG maker 2000 engine to make it do all sorts of things that the engine is not suppose to be able to do.

I am proud of my accomplishments, but the road is not over yet. I still have polish to do on the entire game, as well as the final dungeon to design. I hope to finally have it out in the upcoming year ahead.

Anyone who checks in, thank you for your support. What an epic journey this has been, creating an epic game. A game, I have all intention of shattering everyone's expectations.

Graphically this game may not be the most amazing game on RPG maker, but gameplay, story, and scope, I hope this will be one of the better games created on this site. In the end you will be the judge of that, but one way or the other, creating this project has been an incredible experience!

Stay tuned for more!

Still working on it.

It's been a long long long time sense there has been any update. I'm sure anyone who has been following has long sense given up. I am, believe it or not still working on the game, little by little. Currently I have finished 9 of the 11 dungeons on the game.

I have every intention to finish the game just to say "I finished it." Not sure exactly how much longer it will be but I would like to have it done sometimes in 2014.

Being that this is simply a project I work on the side, and I have a very active life, the game gets lost in the shuffle most of the time.

Not to mention I am now also producing an indie game, I hope to put on the market.

I still, however wish to finish the game, because of the months and years of work poured into it. If anyone sees this message, I appreciate any words of support, and I hope to provide a fun and exciting experience for those who would like to play.

New Progress Report

Whew.... This game is taking forever to complete! But it's worth it. I've been really enjoying the process, and seeing what was once a vision come to life before my very eyes has been every so gratifing.

Well this project is seeming a bit more ambitious than I had originally thought it to be. As of now I really am not sure when it will be complete, only that progress is still being made surely ever surely.

College has recently started back, and that is now going to be eating away most of my time, but the the chances I get I hope to continue working on this game.

More specifically, over the past few months I have been working on a massive revision of the early portions of the game. As mentioned in an early blog, this game was designed, originally when I had a limited understanding of the RPG Maker program. Sense then I have pretty much learned the program upside down, and inside out. Going back to some of the early parts of the game I found very quickly that there was a massive contrast between the quality of the early portions of the game vs. the later parts. I've done much to perseve the original feel I intended with the early parts, yet enhance them in everyway I can possibly think of.

Frequently I look back at what has been accomplished, and often times a great sense of exitment rushes over me.

I'm not sure how many people with play this game on the dated RPG Maker 2000 program, but what I do know is that, for me at least, what will be created will be well worth the efforts.

Yet, I still hope that others will be able to find as much joy in playing this game as I have found in producing it.

Stay tuned reader out there for postings of in game videos and the launch of my web site.

Enemy encounters and progress report

I have gone through leaps and bounds the past few months, and crossed many mile stones along the way. Currently I am working on a revision of many of the older parts. I am removing the random battle aspect of many of the early parts of the game and replacing it with on screen enemies that hunt and chase the player down (for combat to start). That is not to say, these enemies will have the "follow Hero" attribute set. On the contrary. I've gone a more advanced rout, and created a system in which the player must fall within a specefic radius for the enemy to chase the player. To top it off I have also created other unique enemies, such as those that hide under tiles, and await unsespecting players to step onto their hiding place, and enemies that turn invisible when the player gets out of their range.

To add more fareness, I have also added a special item that will make the player invisible to most enemies(for a certain time limit) that will allow him to safely walk through an enemy infested area without being seen.

All is going well for the game, and if everything goes to plan, I should have this game up and ready within the next couple of months. I've already passed the 490th map(!) and it's looking that I may have 700 to possibly 1000 maps on the final version.
