Granada, the Wild
(Age: N/A, Class: Demon King)
Granada is a great demon king from the netherverse. When he is betrayed by those that served him and his body is destroyed, he is forced to flee to the human world in spirit form. There, he meets the deceased Arian, and they form a pact: Granada would be able to use Arian's body for as long as he strives to save the prince's homeland. How the wily demon goes about saving it is another matter altogether, of course...
Arian Brisingr
(Age: 24, Class: Prince)
Arian is the Emperor's second son, though in reality his claim to the throne is much more distant - due to his illegitimacy and half-Falenese heritage, he has very little support among the nobility. Having said that, Arian's generosity, liberal-minded nature and governmental reform efforts have made him popular with many commoners, which is frustrating to certain radical conservative elements within the nobility's upper-crust.
Elesca Saready
(Age: 25, Class: Valkyrie)
Elesca is the twin sister of Aladhi, and daughter of Ozvalt Saready, one of the Empire's most capable retainers. She is the prince's most intimate friend, and is very much in love with him, though she would never admit it. She gets frustrated with Arian's carelessness and idealism easily, and has a tendency to argue with him. Secretly, she is intensely jealous of Arian's and Aladhi's relationship, as the two rarely argue.
Aladhi Saready
(Age: 25, Class: Sorcerer)
Aladhi is the twin sister of Elesca, and son of Ozvalt Saready, one of the Empire's most capable retainers. Like Elesca, he is a childhood friend of Arian, and they would drink and talk late into the night. A free-spirited, individualistic womanizer, he is often at odds with his highly conservative family, and constantly argues with his sister and father about politics and religion.
Rucian Torlov
(Age: 36, Class: Gladiator)
Rucian is Arian's Falanese bodyguard, and a competent, level-headed warrior. Born a gladiatorial slave in the Tartolian Republic, he knows the horror of being able to do nothing about one's situation. Having escaped that fate, his skill got him noticed in the Ignacian Empire, where he earned a job as Arian's bodyguard following a daring rescue. Though he speaks little of his hobbies, he is a violinist of no mean skill.
Nalah Arlington
(Age: 18, Class: Sniper)
Nalah is an adopted war orphan of the Arlington house, making her Arian's step-cousin. Unsurprisingly, she turned out just as eccentric as her father and mother, and she is completely obsessed with machines and artifacts. In conversation she is quirky and blunt, and regularly makes others feel uncomfortable, so she had few friends that were close to her age until she met Arian when the Arlingtons moved to the capital.
Chesha Faraday
(Age: 22, Class: Spellsword)
Chesha is prince Arian's fiance, and a high-ranking member of the nobility. The girl is the complete package: a beautiful, refined and intelligent woman who is also physically fit due to her rigorous dancing and fencing practice . Despite this, neither Arian nor Chesha are very excited about the prospect of marriage; it is entirely political and the two are known to have a firm distaste for one another.
