The Characters of Whodunnit, both major and minor.
MAJOR CHARACTERS
Aaron Brown
A jazz pianist hailing from New York, Aaron was playing at a small nightclub when he met the Don for the first time. The Don liked his style so much that he invited Aaron to play at various buisness functions over the years. It was only fitting that Aaron provide the entertainment for this, the Don's final hurrah.
At least, that's the story Aaron provides.... Aaron is extremely competitive and is a bit of a sports fanatic. He smokes every now and then and when he does, he prefers a pipe. Aaron is suportive of the investigation, but feels that it shouldn't be his problem. He'll help you if it's in his best interests, but won't go out of his way to point things out.
George White
The privilaged grandson of the Don, George never bothered to think about his actions, only when the next check would arrive from grandpa. Therefore, it came a bit of shock when the Don cut those checks off on George's twenty-first birthday. Berefit of his usual income, George turned to having affairs with rich, usually married, women.
George is a bit of a wimp and is constantly at odds with his half sister, Erika. George is nosey and quite vain, often spending hours perfecting his hair with gel. George is resentful of the investigation and wants nothing more than to grab his slice of the Don's money and walk away. He will never help Jacob, unless it will damage his half sister in some way.
Simon Maroon
The librarian and resident artist of the nearby village, Simon enjoyed a peaceful relationship with the Don. He often brought him books or pieces of artwork, which improved the Don's failing health. He was summoned to the Manor to say goodbye to his dying friend.
Simon is a neat freak and has a wicked and sadistic sense of humor. He is always willing to discuss the arts, especially his own. Simon is supportive of the investigation and is always eager to help Jacob anyway he can. In fact, he almost seems too helpful.....
Erika Gold
The Don's grandaughter and favorite relative, Erika is one hell of a bitch. She is manipulative and greedy, but hides it behind her "valley girl" persona. She had real love for her grandfather, but more love for his money, it seems.
Erika is always in fashion and spends hours making that happen. She always carries a pocket mirror and a hairband or three. She is critical of Jacob's efforts and will go out of her way to complicate things. However, if Jacob can get her on his side, she will be a formidable ally. However, gaining Erika's support will lose George's, so beware.
Brandon Gris
A famous author and skilled poet, Brandon was invited by the Don, who always enjoyed his works. Brandon and the Don appear to have a history but neither will speak of it. Brandon smoke heavily.
He is bossy and egotistical and is often at odds with Simon, who detests Brandon's works. Brandon is fully behind the investigation, as long as he isn't involved in it. He will rarely help Jacob and tends to stay out of everyone's way.
MINOR CHARACTERS
The Butler
A loyal servant of the Don's, the Butler will act as guide for inexperienced players. He'll show you around the mansion and give you a little help toward starting your investigation.
The Officer
A figure from Jacob's past. The Officer is in charge of the investigation at first, but hands things off to Jacob when the storm rolls in. He will give advice every now and then, usually at the end of a day.
The Driver
The Don's trusted driver and able henchman. He doesn't have much to do with the plot, though he will point Jacob toward some clues...
