Play Through: Ch.3... ugh... finished

I spent all day on this. Really, all day. I'm no longer really concerned about the length of the game, as there' definitely plenty to do (even though quite a bit is optional, many will probably do the sidequests to get the goodies anyway). Anyways, chapter 3 is ridiculously long, especially if you opt to do the Atlantis quest. I know Amerk will :P

Okay, so another piece of news... Jimbo is back! Yes, the main beta tester from EL1 has returned to the site. I thought I'd mention it since he played such a big part in getting this series started. Maybe I can even convince him to test EL4 since Amerk will be a developer on that project. Not to get ahead of myself... :P

Balancing issues aside, I really believe that this game is the best in the trilogy. It is a lot more varied and better looking than previous installments, and I'm planning for it to end with a bang. Old faces will appear (even though I was reluctant to do this again), and all the loose ends will finally be tied up.

Today was basically hell for me, working out all these bugs (tilesets were the absolute worst part), having to stop every 2 seconds to fix careless mistakes. I'm extremely annoyed by the intro music by now as well. But I finished everything I needed to for the third chapter, and though I still have quite a bit to do for the last leg of the game, it'll be far less complicated and won't rely as heavily on extra features.

Anyways, it's safe to say, finally, the deadline will be met. Maybe even ahead of schedule.

I keep a log of errors I go as opposed to restarting every 3 seconds(unless it's a game-breaking bug, obviously).
I do tend to write the errors down, although the problem here was that most of the tiles were walkable and I didn't feel like describing to myself what they looked like on paper. My memory kinda sucks that way. Luckily I can save in every map though, as that's the last change I ever make before releasing games.

I'm sure there will be even more chipset errors in the next chapter, but hopefully I can hammer them all out in one day like I did with chapter 3. I'll most likely have everything ready by next week for the conclusion of my play through :)
