Yep, that's pretty much all that needs to be done. As lazy as I've been this week, I managed to push myself into doing quite a bit for it tonight. As soon as I've finished up, I'm sending it directly to Amerk (who is always very fast and efficient with his play throughs) for last minute bug fixes and changes.
Also, I figured it was about time I uploaded a pic of the battles. Nothing fancy, as usual, but there's more going on there than in the previous two installments. A bright green menu system and backgrounds to complement the monster graphics!
I'm going to be extremely happy to finally have this game finished. By far, it has been the most confusing game to make, especially because I was so off and on again with it over the first couple months of production. All those day and night switches really messed with my head.
I'm already looking ahead to the improvements for the first game of the trilogy, and still hoping for some friendly advice from others who didn't like it so much. I went back and read some of the reviews, but there were very few clear ideas about what would have been better, and a whole bunch of bitching that admittedly wasn't all that helpful. I don't want to move away from my minimalistic elements TOO much when updating these, but I do wish to engage people a little better right from the start. Having such large world maps will definitely help me in the long run as I can add new areas very easily and I can approach it all as an expansion, rather than a total makeover. This hopefully won't be the last time I go back to improve these games and add more content to them, but just in case, I hope to make it a worthwhile update.
If anyone has any ideas that would be beneficial to players, please send them my way.
