Matsumori Days

Here at the Matsumori Daily, we are always interested in interviewing our fellow students. Today, we have the top athlete from last year, Yasui Goho. The transcript of our interview as follows:


Matsumori Daily: What are your your achievements?

Yasui Goho: Let's see. Well, there's baseball. I'm pretty competent on the field. At bat, I've been known to hit my far share of home runs. I do boxing too. One time, coach insisted that I take on this guy who was much bigger than I was, just to see how strong I was. I managed to win, but it wasn't pretty.

MD: Indeed. So, tell us about your family.

YG: My father works at the electronics store downtown. He sometimes recruits Mom for bookkeeping. I don't really understand all the technical stuff, but I manage to be useful in moving things around.

MD: Any brothers or sisters?

YG: Nope.

MD: How about your hobbies? I mean non-sports ones!

YG: I'm sure a lot of people already know this, but I go to the school gym to train. I guess that's half-connected to the sports, though. Huh. Do I do anything outside of sports? I don't... think so.

MD: You do seem quite proud of your physical strength...

YG: Masako hates this, but becoming a pro athlete provides a lot of income. To get there, I need to show that I have talent. That doesn't happen if I'm not fit.

MD: You know the student counsel president... personally?

YG: I guess I don't know her that well. I met her last year, after school. I was going to go home with Joruri, they were both members of the debate club then, and we were introduced through her. Masako gets over my head a lot, but she's basically friendly.

MD: Neat story! Any other personal tidbit you want to share?

YG: None that I can think of.
