Matsumori Days

Here at the Matsumori Daily, we are always interested in interviewing our fellow students. Today, we have a first-year student, Chishu Katai. The transcript of our interview as follows:


Matsumori Daily: So, what was your first impression of Matsumori High?

Chishu Katai: Meh. It's okay, I guess.

MD: "Okay"!? "Meh"!? Hrm. Well, tell us about your family.

CK: They're very traditional. When I was still a baby, they me set up marriying a girl. What's that phrase again?

MD: A prearraged marrage?

CK: Yeah, thats the one! Anyway, they have to be totally ignorant of the wonders of technology. They seem to think that my only interaction with her is our two meetings in person. In fact, we talk all the time on-line.

MD: So you use social networking to keep in touch. What about your parents? Do you intend to keep them in the dark?

CK: In the end, I don't think they'd really care about us being in contact. They might think that I'm having these conversations despite their "restrcitions". They might even get the wrong idea that I'll end up marrying her. Now there's something they won't take very well!

MD: I see. Any brothers or sisters?

CK: I got a little sister. She's got the same kind of deal I have, but she seems more or less okay with who they set her up with. At least for now.

MD: How about your hobbies?

CK: Mainly, I work off stress by playing the drums. My folks are actually pretty damn supportive of me on this. It's pretty surprizing, and it worries me. Sometimes.

MD: Do you play any other instruments?

CK: I've been slowly picking up the guitar, actually. Obviously, I can't play anything cool yet, but I'm getting there little by little.

MD: Any other personal tidbit you want to share?

CK: I know there's a school band, but I don't know if it plays anything I'd want to listen to, or play. I might join it just to get some connections, but if I end up playing goddamn Mozart, I'm so outta there.
