RM2K3 is harder than RMXP.

When I downloaded the RMXP free trial, I had a basic idea of what game I wanted to make. After going through some online tutorials for it, I got better at RMXPing, and my old game story idea got tossed out the window in favor of my unfinished magnum opus Bronze Soul. And for twenty-one days, I was enjoying myself immensely thinking of new story elements, trying to create maps, and thinking of unique character interactions. The last thing I was able to do was a basic blueprint for a shopkeeping minigame. Then my whole Buying the freaking maker failure, I had to downgrade.

RM2K3 has differences between RMXP, the least of which is graphics. Options are named differently, the battle system is better, I can actually use Charas-Builder, events are harder to time since I have no wait until move is over command, random dungeon maker if I ever decide to make a mystery-style game, 8-16 bit music is easier to implement without making it sound out-of-place, and world map. All in all, I enjoy RMXP more, but I'm getting used to RM2K3. Maybe I'll eventually enjoy it as much.

You know, if Enterbrain screwed you over so badly, I would've just yar har har me hearties...you know what I'm getting at.
Seriously, if they won't take your money it's their fault if the end up walking the plank yar har har.
No, they actually did take my money. It was their activation server that didn't want me. Fortunately I got a refund from the bank, so I didn't have to waste $30.00 on a product that wouldn't activate.
I heard "Proceed With Movement" was pretty buggy, I am so used to using wait commands for move events because you can make very specific movements between more than one character.
