A tale about Super Heroes living in modern day Toronto. REAL heroes! Discover the untold history of their pasts and the fate of our future as this band of supernatural beings battle the forces of evil!
The premise is that an old senile bastard named Magnotto buys a magnetic suit from a garage sale and starts unintentionally wreaking havoc everywhere he goes. His arch nemesis, Professor Y, rounds up a team of barely competent super heroes to battle Magnotto and restore peace to the city. Unfortunately, there are other forces of evil bent on destroying this new team of heroes, and their mission only becomes more difficult as time goes on.
This is much more tame than my other project. The aim is not to offend anybody, but to put a spin on some of our favorite comic book characters for a laugh. That being said, it's much less of a social/political/religious commentary, so there's no point in reading into the jokes for hidden themes or messages.
Cast:
"Professor Y" - A crippled old buffoon who has sworn revenge upon a senile old man. He is the founder of our team of heroes.
"Supaman" - The leader of our band of heroes. He's the fastest, strongest, and most intelligent of the team. Plus, he can fly! Unfortunately, he's narcoleptic, so that complicates things.
"Captain Average" - He used to be "Captain Above Average", but realized his name was too long and had it shortened, also escaping accusations of sexual innuendo. It totally was though.
"Flying Rat Man" - a slow talking older gentleman who walks around in a really queer costume. His relationship with his younger companion makes the rest of the team uncomfortable.
"Blue Jay" - The fast talking younger companion of Flying Rat Man.
"Vogue" - A former model with connections to all of the greatest international corporate leaders of the world. Her communication skills are exceptional.
"2DR2" - Prof Y's sidekick. Also a robot.
Special guests include: Magnotto, Green Fungus, The Toker, the Flower Rangers, Kurt Kobain, Arachnaboy, The INCREDIBLE Bulk, Plastic Man, and oh so many more!
Episodes:
1- Magnotto is born, and the team is assembled to fight him!
2- The Toker plans to drug the entire city!
3- Arachnaboy battles the Green Fungus. Prof Y's team gets in the way.
4- Magnotto's crew goes after the Real Heroes.
5- Trouble at home.
6- The Real Heroes do battle with the Flower Rangers.

CloseI love the idea of Supaman. A nigh all powerful hero with a crippling and unpredictable flaw.
I think the key here is going to be writing the super-villains (who are of course much cooler than any lame ass hero.)

I agree. Instead of a ridiculous conversation like in ND, each ep in this will intro a new villain.
I still have my doubts about this though, so it will be a slow production while I gather some ideas.
