I think some of the problems you were having were due to you not having enough defense. It's designed so that you need to build more defensively. Their agility might be a bit to high for hard mode though.
Most bosses and elites will start using different skills when their HP drops low.
And I have no idea why it wouldn't let you walk through the gate. Yay, random bugs.

Alright. I had fun playing what I had. Feel free to contact me if you have an updated version or what not. Indeed, that bug was weird... it didn't do that in other Let's Plays I watched. :/

I recently cleared out my files, so I'll need to replay that part of the dungeon. It shouldn't be a problem though. I'll look into recording some more tonight.

That's a very odd error. I restarted the game, ran to the 2 bosses, fought both of them right to left AND left to right. No order works for me.
Oh well, replaying the game wasn't an issue at all. Will hard mode introduce any new strategies?
Edit: I decided to take a break from recording videos after the last game I played. So I'm gonna call it a run for now, unless there's an update I'm interested in.
