Persona: Inescapable Fate is a Persona fan game, set about a year after Persona 4.
The main character is a foreign exchange student from America. He arrives in the rapidly-expanding town of Ota, where he meets the adult in his host family, Mister Hideki Kurosawa. The MC heads home and checks his email, which contains a vaguely unsettling message telling him he's been registered for something called "THE OPERATOR'S GAME".

What follows is a series of bizarre events that leads the MC to run into a well-dressed faceless man calling himself The Operator, who sics Shadows upon the MC and his new friend, Ichiro, causing the MC to awaken his first Persona, Gilgamesh...

Persona: Inescapable Fate is an odd game. Like it's town of Ota, which is somewhere between the sizes of Iwatodai and Inaba, IF is between P3 and P4 in terms of tone: it is more upbeat than P3, but darker than P4. It centers around an ARG-esque series of riddles and challenges, and a struggle against eldritch horrors and
evil Persona users.
