What does the "END" written on top of that character mean?

Its a tactics game (grid-based combat) if a character is marked "End" it means that particular character turn is done for that round but the other characters can still move/take action. Personally I've always wished it would say "Done" and reserve "End" for ending your round because alot of these games have the option to finish your turn before acting with all your units and can occasionally lead to a miosclick ending your round instead of turn.

Since this isn't released yet all it's doing to me is having pray to Ploutus to spontaneous spawn 60$+tax for me to pick up FE: Awakening

Thanks, FL. I am familiar with the strategy game mechanics. The things about this particular screenshot that seems unusual is that this seems to be some sort of cutscene and thus, the battle options shouldn't be visible. It's just confusing to me if that's the case ...
