Ouya status report

For those curious about how install base is looking on Ouya, here's an update on how well The Vestibule has done on it since launch. To date, there have been a total of 3,235 downloads of the game for Ouya. That's several times better how it has done on desktop, and far and away better than I was expecting.

Just accepted into the Ouya store!

After a lot of sweat and heartache, The Vestibule has just been accepted and published in the Ouya store, just in time for consoles to ship to backers. Look for it in the store as one of the console's launch titles!

We're still working out the kinks, but the Ouya port of The Vestibule is running on our dev device and should be ready to go as a launch title. Once the game is up and in the store, I'll probably write up a postmortem about our experience with porting to Ouya.

Just finished up a second round of testing and it looks like all the unwinnable situations have been fixed up. The trouble with testing a game as nonlinear as The Vestibule is that there are bound to be situations which arise that I didn't anticipate, so thorough testing is a must.

Look forward to a release hopefully by the end of the year!
