Pigs are employed by the Galactic Senate, only those systems & Planets that have accepted the senate rule have marines deployed.
They are the Police, Army, Navy, Air Force.

On occasions they also accept contracts from private parties if the governing body agrees.

There Job is simple, protect and serve.
