After the Martial arts tournament of Japan, Jubei started hunting dragons, will he be able to finish the last dragon!?... and complete his vengeance?

This game contains chapters 1-8,

Genre:

Action, dark fantasy, Drama

Setting

-This game takes place in Feudal and in the Sengoku period of Japan. The "feudal" period of Japanese history, dominated by the powerful regional families (daimyō) and the military rule of warlords (shōgun), stretched from 1185 to 1868.

The Edo period, a Period of war, politics and conflict between European and Asian Religion.

-The Sengoku period or 'Warring States period' in Japanese history was a time of social upheaval, political intrigue, and nearly constant military conflict that lasted roughly from the middle of the 15th century to the beginning of the 17th century. The Sengoku period in Japan would eventually lead to the unification of political power under the Tokugawa shogunate. Christians and firearms first arrived during this period to Japan.

-Incest, child prostitution and many more things were legal and not immoral back in this time.

History

During the Edo period, also called the Tokugawa period, the administration of the country was shared by over two hundred daimyō in a federation governed by the Tokugawa shogunate. The Tokugawa clan, leader of the victorious eastern army in the Battle of Sekigahara, was the most powerful of them and for fifteen generations monopolized the title of Sei-i Taishōgun (often shortened to shōgun). With their headquarters at Edo (present-day Tōkyō), the Tokugawa commanded the allegiance of the other daimyō, who in turn ruled their domains with a rather high degree of autonomy.

The Tokugawa shogunate carried out a number of significant policies. They placed the samurai class above the commoners: the agriculturists, artisans, and merchants. They enacted sumptuary laws limiting hair style, dress, and accessories. They organized commoners into groups of five and held all responsible for the acts of each individual. To prevent daimyō from rebelling, the shōguns required them to maintain lavish residences in Edo and live at these residences on a rotating schedule; carry out expensive processions to and from their domains; contribute to the upkeep of shrines, temples, and roads; and seek permission before repairing their castles.

Do I need to play the first two games in order to understand the plot for this one? A response as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.

I have to try this.

Yes please do, I guarantee that you will like the story. it has multiple plot twist and a ending that will leave you with a mouth open.
I decided to put out my surprise early, now you can play All three games on one File!!!! you can use your savefile if you had one from the complete edition or the third game! this contains 3 new songs on the third chapter!

if you never played this saga, now it's the time!
Hello guys, for those that have not downloaded the game, now you can download it easier than ever, not its on rpgmaker´s server, so you can download straight from here. and only 130 mb
Perhaps the biggest mind fuck of all. Right from the start I don't have a clue on what's happening. All I know is that I banged some girl (a wife or a sister) and then left to kill a dragon. That's it. All of the Japanese words, I can't even begin to know what they mean. Is this game targeted solely toward a Japanese audience?

If so, then hosting on a Japanese gaming website would be better than here, on an English one. If not, then touch up your English big time and perhaps providing some sort of in-game guide to Japanese would be great. Just food for thought.

Pros/Cons:
+ Nice visuals and mapping (a little heavy on the winter-ly overlay, perhaps)
+ Nice music and sound effects (even if some are used out of place)
- Terrible writing (I respect all origins... but come on, you're hosting on an English website)
- Poor animations and cut-scenes (a lot of simple mistakes like characters facing the wrong directions)
- Writing runs out of the text box (how could you not have caught this?)
- Provides little meaning to the Japanese words (perhaps writing the English meaning would be very helpful?)

Biggest cons right now have something to do with the writing. You praise this game's story as something that'll blow our mind, but if we can't read and understand it, it's highly unlikely to happen.

Hello buddy, this is for all audiences, only the Ninpo techniques are in Japanese. if you read the games description here, it shows the definition of some japanese words. for example, the first jutsu, when your wife becomes frozen, it says Ice prison.

"- Writing runs out of the text box (how could you not have caught this?)" I had to port the first game and test the game like 100 times and fixed some of this but not all, if you could help it will be appreciated.

"- Terrible writing (I respect all origins... but come on, you're hosting on an English website)" I am from costa rica, if you can help with the mistakes you are saying, I will greatly appreciate it, put you in the credits and add you as a tester on this site :)

Oh and at the begginin it says what the game is about, you have to kill the dragon, and before you leave, you have sex with your wife... that is all.
you can now download the game and you can choose which game to start from. I, II or III!!!

Probably it's my laptop's fault but this game is full of bugs.
If you try cutting the bushes when you're a kid the game can't find the graphics and crashes.
And, after 1 hour of nothing but cutscenes I finally begun playing a RPG, but no matter what, if you fight more than two foxes the game crashes "generic error".

Deleting it right now...

Superes, does the game crash by failing to respond, or does it auto-close with an error message about missing files? I ask, because titogod can do something of the latter, but not necessarily the former.

that is must likelly be your pc, "after 1 hour of nothing but cutscenes I finally begun playing a RPG"

You are wrong lets read the wikipedia definition to rpg:

"Players take responsibility for acting out these roles within a narrative, either through literal acting or through a process of structured decision-making or character development. Actions taken within many games succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines."

if you don't like cut scenes, go play God of war. I said this game is heavy on story, plots, plot twists and history.

So, let me get this straight. By giving players the role of at least three characters, and this is just in the first chapter of the game, mind you, you are not asking players to play out the story you intend for those characters. For clarification, I don't think it matters if the in-game events are based on history or not.

In any event, I'm slightly interested in what genre you believe this game fits in. Especially when the genre listed on this game page specifies "RPG"!
WTF how can you say that i am not asking players to play the story I did not intend for them? that does not even make sense. This is an RPG heavy on cut scenes. I never said that it has to be based on history to be an RPG, final fantasy for example is based on nothing but fantasy.

"In any event, I'm slightly interested in what genre you believe this game fits in"

This is an RPG game, I hope you can read the genre listed on this page.

I somehow thought you were saying this wasn't an RPG in response to the one post that had the "After 1 hour of nothing but cutscenes I finally begun playing a RPG" comment in it. Saying the comment was wrong, and posting the definition of an RPG, somehow my mind made some weird connections.

Though, there is a certain sense of frustration on the part of Superes. He/she/it/whatever didn't enjoy "watching" the game for an hour before he/she/it/whatever was truly able to "play" it. This distinction between "watching" and "playing" is what's important here, I think.

Forgive my apparent mis-reading of things, though.

Thats complete BS. You DO play after every cut scene, what happens is that there is no combat in the first Game. only in the other two games, so you CANNOT say that you watch this for one hr without playing, YOU DO PLAY. Besides that is his complain. what is the business with you? heck have you even played the game? And this is his problem if he does not like cut scenes, he can go play God of war for all I care. I played through where he said he got an error and that is a lie, he is trying to bring down a game he does not like by lying.

I'm not sure why, but I'm playing this. Again. I must ask. In Jubei's Vengance (The "first game", as it were), that town were players are in control of Jubei for the first time? What's with all the empty space?

The speed's a bit better, though. Small blessings, I suppose.
its a small town, and people will start to move into the city as time progresses, because you play through several years. I am Working on the Next game so finish these 4 games as soon as you can so that you can understand the fourth one.
Hey ! I can't get past the bit where you have to buy a boat in a village! I try pulling the boxes from the dead monsters down from the rooves but it activates a bomb and then just gets stuck!?
hello, can you post a screen, you dont have to pull the boxes or kill all the monsters, those are sidequests, they are treasures boxes.
