Development Status as of May 2008

Thanks to a very detailed beta report by Ciel, the debugging process went along painlessly and for all practical purposes the game is now fully playable from beginning to end. With the major balance issues, game breaking bugs, and dialogue errors now in the past; Balmung Cycle will certainly be ready for release in May.
Currently however there are some issues that I personally feel must still be addressed prior to release:
1. Special skills: These will be completely redone to be more useful and less bug-ridden. Currently special skills are overall either too expensive to be useful or just useless overall.
2. Extra goodies: Bonuses for defeating every enemy on the map or making certain discoveries.
3. Optional content and scenes: Balmung Cycle already contains many additional things to do aside from the main story, however it still isn't enough to make the world truly feel alive. For that reason, I'd like to also focus on using this extra month to develop more depth to the world itself.
Sorry once more for the numerous delays, but I feel that this is all absolutely necessary to make the first installment of Balmung Cycle one of the strongest traditional RPG Maker games to be released in recent years...
