The fortress dungeon has different themed areas with matching enemies along with common enemy types that the player is already familiar with.

The world map is set up to provide a quick, no-fuss method of moving the player from area to area without the need to wander aimlessly.

Story events, with in-game animation, are scattered throughout the game.
