First Person Implementation?

Before I actually began mapping out the actual playable maps in Diabolica, I utilized a first-person graphic style and converted Celianna tilesets for that purpose, as seen in the screenshot in the spoiler above. I feel like I did a good job with it, for the most part. But it seems I do not have any use for it at all, and I definitely do not want the time I put into it to go to waste.

Do you think implementing the first-person perspective in specific areas of the game is acceptable? I plan on creating "labyrinths", or dungeon areas that in first-person that the player must pass through. There would be no third-person dungeons; only caves, forests, towns, and other exploratory areas.

Most of the game would be in third person this way, but dungeons would not be. I feel like this augments the "dungeon-crawler" aspect of Diabolica much more, in part making the dungeons more memorable. The player would still be fighting monsters and experiencing the plot outside of dungeons, additionally.

This is very conceptual and I need some input, any would be appreciated! Thanks!
