Cancelled: Due to factors out of my control, including family illness and multiple business presentation deadlines, I have decided to cancel Halloween Horror! Lock-In at Longview High! The characters and setting are going to be reused for a regular project later on when I have time, since I don't feel like completely throwing out the work.
Summary: It's October 31st, 2013, and the students at Longview High are gearing up for the annual Longview High Lock-In! This year is sure to be a safe and clean event, after the student body almost lost this traditional privilege due to last year's fiasco involving some risky behavior and the beds in the Nurse's Office. No extra-friendly outside guests this time around!
You take on the roll of Lindsey Rindyer, a senior at Longview High. The Lock-In is a bittersweet event this year, now that Lindsey has lost the Event Committee President position to Jeanette Sweeps after holding it for three years straight. But maybe it will be fun! It can't be that bad, can it?
Oh yes it can! As the night goes on, the party heats up and the fun begins! However, a sudden power outage occurs and a small group of students lead by Lindsey must journey through the basement into the utility tunnels to restore the lights! When they resurface, students are missing and everybody is seeing red! Friendships will be made and broken! Rivalries will ensue! Suspects are assumed guilty until proven innocent!
Features: Halloween Horror! Lock-In at Longview High! is a Halloween-themed hybrid Survival Horror and Visual Novel. Gameplay is broken up into action-packed thrilling survival segments where items you have gathered and secrets you have uncovered may just save your life! The Visual Novel segments are your chance to wander the halls of Longview High, grab a bite to eat, mingle with your fellow students, and pick up a fire axe or two. Now might be a good time to learn where those Emergency Exits are!
Disclaimer: Any names or personalities used in this work that resemble, whether exactly or slightly, those of a real person, living or dead, are entirely intentional, as many characters are inspired by the hundreds of unique individuals that I have met throughout my life. They are truly strange, even bizarre, and for that, I thank them.
All resources used in this work are either custom, free to use, or are premium resources that were obtained through a legitimate medium. Some resources are edits of those premiums. For these reasons, I ask that you do not rip resources from this game, as doing so may cause legal hurdles.

- That protein-filled treat from the school vending machine might just give you the energy to save the world! Various food items can be obtained, and they very well may allow you to discover new paths, or keep your cool when everything starts to go downhill!
- Bringing a friend or two along for the ride might provide you with an unknown bit of valuable info on the layout of the school! Maybe that kid who sits alone at lunch looking at those papers knows something you don't...
- The way the sun rises depends on how you spend your night! Multiple endings are available, though some might not be as obvious as others!
- A humorous satire of the social cliques and wacky individuals in American high schools! Who says avoiding certain death has to be boring? Pop-culture references and immature humor abound!
- An abnormal battle system helps you get away from that "This was made in RPG Maker!" feel! Through the simple use of variable and common events, Halloween Horror! Lock-In at Longview High! makes you think before you act! Sure you could use that fire extinguisher bust out that door handle, but what if you need that fire extinguisher - OR your energy - later on? The Survival Horror and Visual Novel segments are intertwined!
