Chastitas: The Broken Land

Religion is always a sensitive topic isn't it?
These are the major gods and a modicum of their lore in Chastitas:
Planes of Existence

Seinarumesto
A sort of dystopian Heaven. This is where people go if they have been blindly good in their lives. Here, people are punished for being ignorant by living a life of constancy. Nothing bad ever happens, and thus the good has lost its importance. Essentially a state of limbo, it's meant to drive the soul crazy by derpriving it of stimulation.

Kunrinten
Essentially, Hell. A place of constant torture and punishment. Actually seen as a better alternative to Seinarumesto, due to the fact that there's some form of stimulation.

Schastye-Satori
A plane where people who have lived their lives on "the middle path" by being both benevolent and malevolent without being wholeheartedly good or bad. These people have lived for others by living for themselves. This plane is such that each mind and soul exists in a world that is "perfect" for that specific set. It is filled with both good and bad, to achieve the sense of stimulation and true happiness. This is a "True Heaven."

Chastitas
Where people exist, where the gods rule over, and where the events of the game take place. Think of it as Earth.


The 13 Gods
*** With the Exceptins of Akarui and Temnota, the 13 Gods do not actively influence the minds and actions of humans unless a crisis that threatens the stability of the 4 planes occurs.

Kirito
A Legendary Swordsman who rose to Godhood by challenging and defeating the gods in a game of wills; albeit perishing in the process. Kirito is the Harbinger of War and Represents the virtues of Honor and Self-Sacrifice.
He represents the "Trauma" aspect of damage.

Asuna
The last of the Gods to Succumb to Kirito, she married him after his ascension. The eldest of the God, she gave birth to the land of Chastitas. She represents the Importance of Family and Faithfulness.
She represents the "Laceration" aspect of damage.

Ignis
The God that embodies the Sun. He represents Rage and Hatred. Furiously in love with Gelida, he chases her around the world, resulting in Day and Night.
Ignis represents the "Flame" aspect of damage.

Gelida
The Goddess that embodies the Moon. She represent the virtues of Calm and Resolve. She is also the Harbinger of Death. Her sister is Vody. She is chased endlessly by Ignis around the world of Chastitas, thus resulting in Day and Night.
Gelida represent "Ice."

Vetar
His breath gives unto the people of Chastitas the air they breathe. He represent Freedom, Passion, and Ignorance. His brother is Iaspi.
Vetar represents "Wind."

Iaspi
Iaspi constructed the land that all creatures live upon in Chastitas. He represents Wisdom and Change. His brother is Vetar.
Iaspi represents "Earth."

Vody
Her tears constructed the Oceans of Chastitas, her blood it's rivers and lakes. Vody's sister is Gelida. Vody is the Harbinger of Life, Birth, and Rebirth, in essence she is the gatekeeper that allows passage into and out of the 4 Planes. She represents the virtues of Compassion and Altruism.
Vody represents "Water."

Sakkaku
Sakkaku is the judge of all souls entering and leaving the 4 planes. Sakkaku is an amalgamation of the thoughts, feelings, ideas, and psyches of Akarui and Temnota. It forged the souls of humanity by modeling them after the minds of the gods. Sakkaku represents the Unknown and the virtue of Self-Restraint.
Sakkaku represents "Supernatural."

Denki
Denki is a young, brash, god. His irrationality and arrogance created natural disasters. In doing this, Denki taught humanity and the gods that nothing is immutable, and everything is brief. Denki represent Chaos, Power, and Time.
Denki represents "Lightning."

Byoki
Byoki is a constantly ailing god that takes the appearance of a decrepit old man. Byoki is the Harbinger of Plagues, and created the various ailments and the initial implements of war to introduce to humanity weakness. Byoki represents Sickness, Weakness, Overcoming Weakness, and Truth.
Byoki represents "Pestilence."

Yad
Yad appears a large scorpion. Yad was the mastermind behind the 4 planes of existence. Yad represents Betrayal, Vice, Sin, and Enlightenment.
Yad represent "Venom."

Akarui
Akarui is the embodiment of Good. Constantly vying for control of Chastitas, Akarui lords over Seinarumesto. He created the creatures and plants that exist in daylight. Together with Temnota, he represents Balance, Patience, and Nature.
Akarui represents "Light."

Temnota
Temnota is the embodiment of Evil. Constantly vying for Chastitas, Temnota lords over Seinarumesto. He created all creatures and plants that lurk in darkness. Together with Akarui, he represent Balance Patience, and Nature.
Temnota represents "Darkness."
