Luminous Vestar

I was considering a title with the cool word luminiferous but settled on the shorter and sweeter. The main storyline follows the creation of a "vessel" in which scientists at the major city of Illanis (of obvious derivations) long for and of which this very vessel is closely tied to the huge energy properties of a star. Hence the word: Vestar.

Right now it is entirely necessary that the people of Esolone (the name of earth in this universe) have access to some very potent form of power in which to further harvest energy from the solar system. I am leaning towards a cliched crystal of some sort, gifted to the 3 major races of humanoids on esolone. This would be the main energy source that is used by leaders of the competing societies, used for different purposes. I didn't want to use crystal power, but I can't really think of anything else at this point that fits the universe any better.

Right now it looks to be that the 3 major races are, at the beginning of the story, racing to use their newest technologies in order to achieve the greatest goals of their respective societies.

Unless I come up with some other major change to the basic story, this will likely be the only blog entry until I release a demo probably toward the end of August.
