MAGE DUEL
THE RMVX GAME WHERE YOU ARE A MAGE AND YOU DUEL OTHER MAGES WITH MAGIC!
Premise:
You are a magic user from a distant land who has fallen on hard times. Because of debt, crimes convicted of, or just plain old bad luck, you've wound up a gladiator in the magic arena of Lord Algus, where wizards duel one another to the death for riches, fame, and the hope of freedom, but ultimately, for the entertainment of Lord Algus and his customers. Of course you want out of this life, but the only way out is to fight. Make a name for yourself in the pit and you'll go far; if the audience loves you, you'll have money, power, renown, and perhaps you'll even earn enough gold to buy your own freedom. But every duel means another dance with death. Can you win your freedom?
Can you do anything to stop Lord Algus's vile blood sport?
Can you even survive?

Being a Conjurer makes things so easy, you can just summon guys to fight instead of you lol
So um like when will I update this game is a good question indeed. Sadly, I don't know. I have a lot of other projects and more importantly, a full time job. Maybe if you're lucky you'll see another release before the end of 2009, but I'm not making any promises.

Some points:
I'd like to see an item shop which would sell some basic things: mp renewal, potions, antidotes, and the like as well as some boosting potions, maybe some one shot things to hurt/ hinder the enemy. A few particularly nasty ones would be:
"MP freeze" where the mage couldn't cast spells during the time it was in effect
"no summon" disallows summoning during the time
"no heal" healing or healing effects (either HP or MP)
"no damage" for direct damage spells
Also would have a class called "necromancer" which would summon undead based off of HP, and do direct damage/ unholy spells.
Just my ideas.

The Silence status effect exists (MP Freeze) but it is reserved for use by only the most serious badasses in the game since it is so ludicrously powerful in a game where everyone is a mage. I wouldn't know how to implement the other three status effects.

I wonder how many people want me to finish this as opposed to my other games, considering that this won the EC as well as Featured Game. I'd make a blog post about it...if I hadn't just made a blog post.
