As sort-of promised, Myriad Cypher has been updated! Let me give a quick run-down of what, exactly, has been updated.
Mission complete!
The mission computers across the game have been replaced with the system that was seen in the Release Something XIII demo. What there is of the game-plot is also now linked to the number of missions that have been completed. Note that missions can be re-randomized quicker by use of the ESC button, rather than selecting "Reject", then re-accessing the "Mission" option in the main base-menu. This is also noted in the readme, in a very tongue-and-cheek way though, we all know that nobody reads those.
See anything like a bike?
Prices in the commodity exchanges throughout the game have been randomized. hopefully, this adds a bit more realism to the game.
What is this RTP that you speak of?
This new download should be 100% not reliant on players having the VX Ace RTP. I say "should", as I used Tsukihime's resource-checker for the files that are needed. To be fair, that script has proved not-totally reliable, but, in this game's case, I thought it would be fine. However, in the case that it missed a resource, I would like to hear about it!
Totally unrelated to this game:
Today marks my fifth year of being a member of RMN. I had thought about writing an article about the games I've made, the game's I've played, or what-have-you but, of course, the idea never went very far. Of course, it's also true that, in thirteen days, I get to celebrate my 36th level-up birthday. So, maybe...
Oh, who am I trying to kid? I'm not gonna do anything!
Cool, Marrend! Happy 5th birthday, and happy 36th birthday in advance if I forget. Wish you another 5 years with RMN. Also cool to see that this is coming along. ^_^
