FAQ
What is Copy Girl?
Copy Girl is an upcoming indie action platformer, inspired by classic games such as Mega Man (classic and X) and newer platformers such as Rayman Legends, DKC: Tropical Freeze and Super Mario 3D World.
On what platforms will it be available?
Initially it will be available on Windows through Steam. We hope to get it on Linux and Mac as well.
The game is being developed on Construct 2, using the rapidly improving HTML5 technology. Consoles such as the Wii U already provide limited support to it, and we’re hoping we can eventually get our game in such platforms.
When is it planned to be released?
We’re still too early in development to give a date.
We hope to get the game on Steam Early Access with the goal of reaching people interested in providing some feedback. It’s our first game and we want to have the most stable release possible.
Another retro platformer? Get it together game devs!
We are two guys with little experience and no budget. This is the game we can and want to make.
So how faithful to the NES is this game going to be?
We’re keeping the restrictions where they don’t interfere with or delay the development.
That means taking some liberties, such as having more layers, no sprite limit and more colors on menus.
Do you have any open job positions?
We will be looking for musicians when the time is appropriate (when we have enough content to justify bringing someone else in).
