We are four, we are one!

Hello, players!
Welcome to... The Lone Chameleon, a RPG Maker MV game made by Aminomad but it's not your typical rpgmaker game: this time we're going to play a puzzle game composed of twenty levels. The game was originally made in french and then translated into english, and while there are a few language errors here and there, the writing is generally good. In this game we play not as one, but four heroes, four mysterious hooded color-coded characters: green, yellow, purple and blue.
Each of these characters has a particular power, for example the green is the Athlete that can jump and help others jump other holes (yes, he can make the others jump), while the yellow one is the Mystic, protected against the immobilizing ray of robots.

Yes! Grow up! From the first tutorial room to more and more complex levels!

Out four colorful hooded heroes are imprisoned in a sort of dungeon by a mysterious entity whose purpouse is unclear. Guess what? We'll have to help them escape, making them work as a team.

The Lone Chameleon is a game that has simple mechanics but complex puzzles: the first part of each puzzle consist into opening the exit, and THEN you've to help each hero navigate the are to exit the zone. Souds easy but it's not, also because the games gradually introduces new powers and new tiles with different effects. And I mean LOTS of them, sometimes I even forgot their effects, but the fun of the puzzle is finding how to solve it, so trying and re-trying is never frustrating because there is the possibility to undo some moves and ask for hints besides re-trying the levels, and remember that there is a solution to every level, so go and find it! And what about the levels? They were all different, sometimes intricated and clevery designed.

Now, let's talks about the graphics: the game uses all custom made assets that are simple but look good, the place is colorful and eerie, almost looks like the inside of an pyramid. Well an alien pyramid, and yes, with robots! Overall I cannot discuss mapping since each room is a puzzle that has to be solve, so it has the beauty of a rubik's cube... but yes, it's the same thing, it appeals those who like puzzl solving. And the music? It's pretty good and relaxing in my opinion!

Yes, EVERYONE should work together if you want to complete this game... now let's complete this review with the...

Final Verdict
The Lone Chameleon is a brilliant game that uses an engine like RPG Maker MV to create and engaging puzzle game. It's unusual and original, and it's also pretty good, and even if this is particularly suggested to the players that like puzzles, I'd suggest also other people to try it and see. The game is challenging, and has some depth, graphics are original and pretty nice, and the game also includes theme of empathy and helping others, since all characters should cooperated to succeed.
In the end The Lone Chameleon is a solid puzzle game, pretty good, and we kow that good is a 4/5 rating!
