This game is going to take forever to finish.
Creativity: 3.5 out of 5
I was really torn here. On one hand you have alot of the world ended games and movies coming out lately so it is hardly subject matter that I am not farmilar with. On the other hand this is the only rpg maker game of its kind. Almost no Rtp graphics give the score here a boost.
Story: 3 out of 5
Nothing here much different than fallout 3's storyline in the demo. However that is not a bad thing. With Sandbox Rpg's you will be lucky to find a story as good as this one has.
Sound: 4.5 out of 5
The music that plays when you can level up your skills are just badass. All of the music just fits the mood. The battle radio lets you change some of the music if you don't like whats there. You just can not ask for much more. The sound could be just a little better but not much.
Mapping: 2.5
Some of the maps look fantastic and some look a little iffy. Most of the maps look fine but none blew me away. The first town wraps around alittle to much for me. This game is not supposed to a graphic powerhouse and it sticks to its strenghts.
Lasting Appeal: 4.5 out of 5
I will be suprised if Max ever makes a game that does not get a 4 out of 5 or higher in this catagory. With mutiple classes that totally change the gameplay you could play the game 5 times and see new things each time. With so many area's to explore and so many choices here there is alot to see. The only problem I had is that when you accept multiple quests you can forget where the npc's told you to go in the overworld. Which can be very fatel. A simple Quest Script could make this problem go away.
Wrap up: 3.5 out of 5
Any game that makes you think about what you are going to do. More than you press the confirm button is going to be mindshatteringly awsome. That is exactly what EtG does. This game is going to take a long time to finish but it is going to be epic.
