So, about the download, I'd like to apologize to everyone who's been trying to get it. There's a bit of a problem is that, since it's the same filename, the updated version overwrites the old one, which is a good thing. However, this also means that there end up being two downloads. I'm trying to convince WIP to make it easier to just simply update ONE download, since it IS the same file.
Anyways, on to more devlog like stuff (I'm going to have to find some time to regularly update this). Because it's easier (though sound might not work), I'm going to be releasing a montage of Vera's skills for RS:SE tonight. Meaning I get to finish coming up with them, making a whole bunch of bgs, and, of course, making the animations to go along with them.
That being said, I figured out something I can do to both add to difficulty and to replay value. For those that have been looking at my screenshots, you'll notice a little thing in the corner labeled "Field Effect." This is an add-on to the DBS that give a little variety to battles. When I release, I might use the blog as a sort of mini-guide (like what Smash Dojo does), so you'll see more stuff about FEs there. Anyways, my idea is to make the item that allows you to actually, you know, SEE that thing in the corner optional. If you get the item, things are easier because you know the FE, you know what the enemy's going to do (since there are some bosses that actually CHANGE the FE and then use a skill based on it), plus you can change it to your advantage. However, when you DON'T know what it is, then you can't change it and you don't know what's coming. There are a few FEs that actually manifest themselves as conditions (with the characters glowing) so that's a plus. I might get rid of it, though, for the harder difficulty, so you REALLY don't know what's going on. That might be a bit too unforgiving, though...
