This is a demo review.
The demo is downloaded on 28th May. My playtime is 00:19:44 (based on in game clock), before the last cutscene.
Intro
Heroes of Alore is a RPG game about a reincarnated "man" who's about to save the world. It has everything about what RPG Maker game usually have, such as skills, equipments, etc.
Music
Most (if not all) of the musics are default RTP assets. The music doesn't sound weird and is used correctly.
Graphics
Just like the music, most of the graphics are default RTP assets. There is one custom cutscene in the demo though. The mapping looks bland; the rooms are too empty and the dungeons are way straightforward with a large room and (two or three) small connectors. However, the outdoor mapping is quite decent.
Story
The intro shows three people who are arguing with each other. I kinda confused about what the are talking about, although i just assume that they're just trying to kill the "bad guy".
The story fast forward after that, and then series of events happened. In an instant. Most of the events are happening too fast that it's gonna take quite some time for me to catch up.
Thanks for reminding me.
Being a demo which only last for less than 30 minutes, i'm impressed with tons of grammatical errors in the game. I almost find one in every dialogue. Most of them are minor grammatical errors though such as typos and "you're" and "your" mix up. But luckily this is still a demo so there's still a room for improvement.
The game
There isn't much to say about the game since it's basically the same as any other RPG Maker games in general- there are some dialogues, you go out and explore, rinse and repeat. There isn't much to explore in the demo though. The demo covers around 1 town and 2 "dungeon" areas. I said "dungeon" because the dungeons are way too simple- it's almost like a straight path with a large "room" in it.
There are 2 other towns that you can explore though, with the first being a larger town which sells some items and the second with a killing event. I can't afford the money for the first town and i'm not strong enough to kill the enemies in the second town. By the time when i reach the end of the demo, i can't go back to the towns to do some exploration so i can't really say what's happening on those towns.
There are random encounters too, although it doesn't happening in overworld. Most of the regular enemies can be taken down in one turn. There is one boss fight in the demo and i have to say that although the healing skills heals about the same as the boss' attacks, the boss fight is quite balanced (especially since you can't buy potions.. in bulk yet). Speaking of heals, all of your party members can cast heals, although some party member will heal more than the other.
There is also an "Overdrive" skill besides a regular skill, which i believe is charged once you take enough damage. You need to wait for a very long time until you can use it though, and i'm not lucky enough to use it yet.
Pros:
- Balanced boss fight
Cons:
- Grammatical errors
- Bland maps, especially in the dungeons
- Rushed story
Conclusion
Well, there isn't much to say about the demo yet, although the mapping needs to be improved and the grammatical errors need to be fixed. The story also need to be revamped though since they seem to be rushed. At least the fights are quite balanced.

I found a bug. After defeating the first boss, press "No" when you're prompted to teleport to Calin. The character will be gone and you'll get a "top down" view like screen.
Final rating: 2/5
Mostly it's because i still haven't see anything in this game yet and i keep on finding cons in this game.

Thank you for your kind review. :D
I was hoping someone would review this to help me figure out what I could do to make it better. Although it'll help if you tell me why the story feels rushed, so I know how to fix it.

author=Rose_Guardianas i said in the review, there are too many events that happened right after the time skip- i hardly catch up with those and i think you need to make the transition a bit slower too. well, that's the part that i feel it being rushed the most. i'm not gonna judge your storytelling skills because i'm not an expert at that, so i'll leave it as it is :)
