Coyote Shadows

You play as Coyote or whatever you choose to name the main character, a young man who can't fight at all and is need of a job. He begins working for an ancient guild of thieves in order to pay for his food and beer. He has no other choices for work and he can't be an adventurer because he is far too weak. You must steal things and go to very dangerous caves and dungeons in order to do so. Your character is also having vivid dreams where he is confronted by an old and powerful vampire who is hell-bent on become a god and ruling the world. As you complete jobs you will rise in rank and assemble a team for a big heist (a heist where you do most of the work).

This is a stealth game with JRPG elements. This is a very difficult game and takes approximately 8 hours to finish but could take longer if all secrets and aspects of the game are explored. You must run and sneak past guards. Guards can hear you and will come to investigate if you make noise and will attack you on sight. As you walk around you loose energy and need to sleep. There are several dream sequences that will occur at certain points in the game when you sleep. You can attack small critters such as rabbits and critters to get experience but you can't attack guards. There are plenty of secrets and characters to interact with in each level. You can also wear disguises in certain areas that will stop guards from attacking you and allow you to interact with them. There are also barrels left around the world that you can hide in.

This game has taken a lot of influence from the thief franchise with dystopian undertones and a medieval theme with the odd element of technology. There is a series of puzzles and choices that have to be made in each level, there is no straight forward way to get from A to B.
