Can I just stick with my 1st version psp? :3
Depends. I don't usually use my phone much except for listening to music/alarm clock xD (keep changing my phone # too xd) so I'd go for PS Vita.

Android market is utter crap, most of the games are really poorly developed and just slapped onto the marketplace by what would appear to be children. You have to sift and sift through every single game just to find a good one, and by then the time you wanted to fill with game-playing is gone because you spent it all searching. (Windows marketplace is slightly better and more refined, and at least they have Xbox games, but I still wouldn't say it's all that good.)

I've had no troubles with the Vita/Playstation marketplace, and being able to play FF7/8/9 wherever I am in the world is crazy cool. And because I use the same account for my Vita/PS3, the games I have are linked to my account so I can install the PS1 games on the PS3 so that my boyfriend can play them too. It does only work for games that are compatible with both Vita and PS3 though, hence why I've only tried it with PS1 games so far.

Gravity Rush was also fucking incredible, despite a few combat system flaws and fetch-quests.. but those could be ignored in favour of the atmosphere, music, artwork, storytelling and COOLNESS.

The only disturbance I've had with the Vita is that I like to rest my fingers on the back of the console to prevent claw-finger-stiffness because I have the worst joints, and some of the PS1 games didn't like it very much.. but it's not too much trouble to hold it in a different way. I think there's a touch-plate on the back of the console which can control a few things in gams, and the PS1 gams consider it to be a button or something.. or I'm just stupid and doing something wrong. EITHER WAY it's not too much of a pest.

As for other stuff, Vita has an interweb browser which is pretty good at handling sites and tabs, there's a front and back camera for selfies, you can Skype on it pretty nicely.. it can do pretty much anything a phone can do (bar actually making calls, but that's what Skype is for), you can probably get it for about the same price and you can use it to play cooler gams than a phone. AND it's gonna tank in price because the launch was so awfully received, plus PS4 coming out soon..

EDIT: I just checked and I can get the preowned console for £100 now, and it was about £200 when I bought it at Christmas. My phone contract without insurance is £15/24 months, which is £360.

ehh but the original psps are plain in contrast to vita.

i am still wavering between the two because android has many many apps, the most crucial for me is an sms/voice call app, which the vita has with skype.

though the ps vita is connected to PSN, you can transfer your purchased PS1 classics and other compatible games and stuff, as well as having a few useful apps like Netflix, livetweet, youtube, foursquare, etc.

a balance of playable games and phone features is what i am looking for really

uh no, i don't want to bother with the 3ds
