Pooling your resources for the greater good and/or greater efficiency (vs. the free market). Common examples of socialist methodology at work would be things like police, military, garbage pickup, environmental protection, education, healthcare... basically any facet of society wherein the goods/services are hard to monetize (or hard to evaluate to an intrinsic value) is usually a good candidate for socialization.

Mm. Also good to be curious about things we wouldn't normally search. I have picked up a habit to look up unknown things immediately. It's a good habit, but now I can't let things go; I am compelled to stop what I am doing and look it up (Or write that thing down, so I don't forget to look it up at home.) The habit makes me understand things more and makes jokes funnier, so it is a good habit.

this is what i do all of the time, it is quite useful in expanding vocabulary
