Tell them they aren't missing much! Unless they want to be disappointed by the majority of their feature films.
It depends. Mostly, liking Star Wars is a nostalgia phenomenon. People, who watch them in their adulthood for the first time usually aren't hooked at all.

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

It depends on context. For example, if they are serving you food, you can say "Thank you very much."

I find your lack of faith disturbing.
Well the Star Warses aren't exactly mindblowing now in the superhero era. But they can still be watched as curiosities and as cinema classics (if someone is into movies and haven't watched Star Wars I tend to be slightly baffled.)
Theres only two good Star Wars movies (Empire obviously & Phantom Menace is a comedy masterpiece imo), 2 okay ones (A New Hope and Return of the Jedi) and a bunch of mediocre wastes of time. Theres plenty of better things to watch out there.
God I miss the golden era of Star Wars games though. The Jedi Knight series, Rogue Squadron... RIP.

Kindly acknowledge that they might not be a movie person or may be hype-aversive. Then open the conversation by asking what kinds of things they do enjoy.
I've watched a few movies. They all made me sleep. The videogames are that franchise's only saving grace. And by videogames I of course refer solely about lego star wars.
