ARCEUSWILLIAM'S PROFILE

I am trying to run a number of RM2K3 games on my Windows 8.1 Virtual Machine. When I run RPG_RT.exe, the game opens in full-screen mode, displays a black screen, and then gives me the following error message:



The game quits immediately after. Can someone tell me what is causing this, and how I might fix it? I might add that my computer didn't always do this; this only started happening recently.
