Help me find a good name for my character .
Great suggestions so far, Anders would word very well, but reminds me too much of the Dragon Age una-bomber.
Might be helpfull if I add that he's one of the protagonists, using actor 3-1 of the default gfx in RPG Maker VX Ace.

How did you and rpg maker meet?
I remember it as if it was just last weekend... Oh wait, it was last weekend...
Mhhh yeah, bored on Saturday night, browsing the Steam store and hey presto, I bought RPG Maker VX Ace pretty much on a whim.
I do suspect Game Dev Tycoon on some subconscious level contributed to my decision, been playing that quite a bit lately and all my big hit successful games that I created in that game were RPGs :)

Help me find a good name for my character .
Normally I'm quite good at coming up with names but, I'd rather ask for input on this one.
The character in question is a 21 year old knight that's suffering from survivor's guilt. His name should sound well with the title Sir in front of it.
Names I'm already using for other characters of his order are: Sir Jan, Sir Geoffrey, Sir Gawreyn and Sir Bodimar.
The world setting is high fantasy with RL medieval influences.
Toss me some names friendly people :)

Don't know how long my Gusto will last these are the humble beginnings I have after my first day on my game:

I've decided to go with the KISS system for now and use the default tilesets and chars. The intro scene is a place holder and will be longer eventually.

Hello.
Well thanks for the warm welcome.
Only reason I mentioned my age in my first post is because I've found it'll come up eventually especially on game related forums. I feel being a 40 year old gamer that's played some proper "old skool" games in his time, that it gives me a unique perspective at times.
And I slip into my Grumpy Old Gamer persona when I see people complain about how something is "unfair" or "too hard", especially when it concerns MMO games, I always cringe wehn people complain about grinding in games like WoW, Rift or SWTOR. None of those can hold a candle to the grind that was named EverQuest back in the early years.
Oddly, I don't have much of a connection with JRPG. The only JPRPG I've played is the FF series (8 is my fav) and I've not even finished 12 (stuck around level 35).
My first RPG was The Bard's Tale II back on C64, and I don't remember there being many JRPG on C64 in the first place :)
It was a PC game much later that really cemented my love for the RPG genre; The Elder Scrolls, Daggerfall.
So we'll see how I fair as JRPG maker :)

Hello.
Well, I guess I'll do the obligatory introduction now that I've registered.
Hi, I'm Alex, 40 years old and a gamer for as long as I can remember. On the internet I'm Better known under the moniker AxeGaijin and I'm AKA The Grumpy Old Gamer.
Picked up RPG Maker VX ACE this last Saturday night (Don't browse the Steam store when you're bored on a Saturday night kids). Since then I've been learning to use it with the Ring of Udrai Tutorial and today I've started working on my first game.
Don't get excited though... I'm that guy that starts a thousand projects full with gusto, good ideas and coffee, only to finish not a single one.
So I'm looking forward to hanging out here, getting to know you guys and then disappear again in 2 years time, never to be heard of again ;)
