I don't even remember anymore. It happened right before it was about to go into its first alpha and during the first playtests, it completely exploded in ways that revealed that there were huge, unanticipated issues left to address. Around that time, my role on VSA was really stepping up, so I decided to put Act III CE on the backburner in order to put my full attention onto VSA, since my divided attention at that point was holding the others on the team up.
As I've said already, I don't have an issue with the what or the why. It's been the how. For a very long time, just about everything kept pointed towards that CE Act 3 was going to happen first (and it was also actively argued for, by several members of the team), and the way we got to learn about the opposite, I can't help but feel like the decision happened just over a night

I'm really hoping that there will be more happy news about Act3+ even after the day of contention (even if just later in the year).

On a more positive note, is there a big difference between the Android phone and tablet version of the game technical wise? Will they arrive at about the same time?

Act III CE will not be delayed again. I can say this with certainty now.

I've had some Contention players run through the alpha for just that reason and it doesn't seem to have negatively affected their enjoyment of it at all. I'm confident it won't be a problem. As I've said before, the convergence of the narrative will happen later on.
I have one more question about this situation.
If worse does come to worse in later episodes (for example, if CE Act3 gets severely delayed (again)), will you be willing to delay VSA for the sake of the VS1 players?

Even if I don't own a Vita, I still have to ask this since I'm a firm believer of that the same game on several platforms should have access to the same content simultaneously (or with minimal delays). Will the release schedule for the Vita version and the Unity version eventually catch up to each other?

Our Eternity is an alternate conclusion, another "what if" like Remission
Because I think Remission is the best ending of VS1 (based on what has been released so far), I have to ask this.
If it isn't "a true ending", how am I going to enjoy VS2 if the ending I got in VS1 is not "the right one"

If I recall correctly, one of the memoirs in Maladorr Manor refers to making a huge breakthrough in creating the first genetic Archon.
I could very well be wrong, but
I've always thought that that memoir has been talking about archons in general, I don't remember seeing genetic archons even getting being mentioned in that memoir
Which is once again one of the reason I think that the Our Eternity ending will clarify a lot of the questions I have about this matter

The earliest I can promise something Contention-related is the 2014 Day of Contention, which will be significantly more Contention-flavored than this year's. I've got something special planned. It'll still be too early to release Act III, but there should be something to sweeten the wait.
Ok.
I'm not angry that it is delayed, the thing is just that it hasn't exactly been a very fun year for a VS1 fan, and I don't want the project to be abandoned now, especially because of the new end of Act2+
